Tyne Tunnel & Newcastle and Gateshead Clean Air Zone Charges
Some Bounce Craze deliveries require our vehicles to travel through the Tyne Tunnels or into the Newcastle and Gateshead Clean Air Zone. Where an additional toll or applicable transport charge is incurred specifically because of your delivery or collection, this may be added to your booking.
This section is for transport-related charges associated with particular delivery routes. It is not a cleaning service, damage charge or fee for cleaning our inflatables after normal use.
Why Might an Additional Charge Apply?
Our delivery routes vary according to where an event is taking place. Some journeys involve road charges that aren't incurred when delivering elsewhere within our normal operating area.
Rather than building those costs into every Bouncy Castle or Event Hire booking, an applicable charge can be associated with the booking that actually requires the journey.
Tyne Tunnel Charges
For events where our delivery or collection route requires travel through the Tyne Tunnels, the relevant toll cost may need to be included with your booking.
This can apply to different types of Bounce Craze equipment, including bouncy castles, Bouncy Castles with Slides, Inflatable Games, Soft Play and other party or event equipment.
Newcastle and Gateshead Clean Air Zone
Certain vehicle journeys into the Newcastle and Gateshead area may also be affected by Clean Air Zone requirements. Where an applicable charge is generated by the vehicle and route required to fulfil your booking, this may be reflected in the delivery costs.
These charges relate to vehicle access and transportation rather than the equipment you've hired.
Does Every Newcastle or Gateshead Booking Have an Extra Charge?
No. An event taking place in Newcastle or Gateshead does not automatically mean that an additional road charge will apply. The relevant route, vehicle and circumstances of the booking determine whether there is an extra cost.
Why Are Toll Costs Shown Separately?
Keeping applicable toll and road charges separate makes the cost easier to understand. Customers whose bookings don't require a chargeable journey aren't being asked to contribute towards the additional transport costs associated with another event.
